The right visa first, then the work permit
Working in Thailand requires both the right visa and a work permit, and the work permit comes with conditions for the employer, such as registered capital and Thai staff. Starting work before the permit is issued is an offence for the employee and the employer.

Frequently asked questions
Can I start working while my work permit is being processed?
No. Work can start only once the work permit is issued (or the authorised online notice for some categories). Working without it exposes both the employee and the employer to fines.
What does a company need to sponsor a work permit?
In general, registered and paid-up capital of THB 2 million per foreign employee and four Thai employees per foreigner, with lower requirements for BOI companies and some other cases. We check your company before we file.
Is the LTR visa worth it?
For those who qualify, it gives a 10-year stay, a digital work permit and fewer reporting duties, and some categories can use a flat 17% tax rate on Thai employment income. We check your category first.
